January 11, 2010 Music Monday — "Word of God Speak" by MercyMe
Billboard Magazine recently named MercyMe the Christian artist of the decade, and they chose their song “Word of God Speak” as song of the decade. I think it was a great choice. That is one of those songs I could just put on repeat and never get sick of hearing it. Among my other favorites [...]

January 4, 2010 Music Monday — "Restored" by J. Moss
I love the song “Restored” from J. Moss’ latest album, V3: Just James. The lyrics say, “I’m restored/ I’ve been rewarded/ I’m redeemed from guilt and shame/ Never rejected, just reconnected/ Now I’m exalted because I know His name.” What beautiful lyrics. I imagine if King David was around, this song would be his jam. [...]

December 23, 2009 Just remember — Jesus is the reason
Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday. I love the feeling of joy and love that seems to take over everyone during the season. In the last couple of years, we haven’t been able to do a whole lot of Christmas shopping. And for the second year in a row, we never got around to putting [...]

August 26, 2009 Counting my blessings
I have so many things to be grateful for in my life. God is truly blessing me. But sometimes we don’t think God is blessing us unless we have thousands of dollars in the bank or everything in our lives is perfect. The truth is, we are blessed just to wake up in the morning.

August 19, 2009 The world's evangelist
[brightcove vid=1279693806&exp=1137883230&w=486&h=412] I recently visited the Billy Graham Library. It was such an awesome, moving experience. If you’re ever in Charlotte, you should definitely visit the Library. You’ll be inspired by how Billy and Ruth Graham humbly submitted to God’s will for their lives and, in turn, took the Gospel all over the world.

May 28, 2009 Eyes on the prize
Sometimes I really wish I could turn back the hands of time and re-live parts of my life with the knowledge I have now. I can think of so many ways I could improve my current situation if I could just change something in the past. But knowing we can’t change the past, how do [...]

March 3, 2009 Can't run, can't hide
“Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.” Jonah 1:17 The Word says “there is a way that seems right to man,” but often the way that seems right to us is exactly the opposite of what God [...]

March 2, 2009 It's all good
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 We all know life isn’t a bed of roses. We go through problems and situations that make us wonder why God would let it happen to [...]

March 1, 2009 Standing on the promises
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13 In his hit song, “Stand,” Pastor Donnie McClurkin asked, “What do you do when you’ve done all you can?” In these times when so many people are losing [...]
