February 10, 2010 I love my husband but …
When I got married, I promised to love my husband for better or worse. Well, I don’t know what could be any worse than what I’m about to tell you about Wayne.
When I got married, I promised to love my husband for better or worse. Well, I don’t know what could be any worse than what I’m about to tell you about Wayne. I really love my husband, but he has one huge flaw. He’s a Carolina fan. And I’m a Duke fan. If you know anything about college basketball, you know those two go together like oil and water — they just don’t mix.
There’s always a little tension in the house during basketball season. Especially when Duke and Carolina are playing each other. He actually had the nerve to tell me, “No touching or talking to me while the game is on,” during one of Duke and Carolina’s match-ups last season. I think Carolina was losing; that’s why he was so irritable.
Yes, we’re a house divided when it comes to the boys in blue. I know we’ll both be on the edge of our seats tonight as our guys meet in Chapel Hill. But, the way Carolina’s season is going, I fully expect Duke to dominate.
I love my husband, I really do, but his team is going down! And when they do, I’ll be there to comfort him — if he lets me.
