March 2, 2009 It's all good
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Romans 8:28
We all know life isn’t a bed of roses. We go through problems and situations that make us wonder why God would let it happen to us. But God knows our whole lives, from beginning to end. He knows how he will use everything that happens to take us from one level to the next. One of my favorite sayings is “Everything happens for a reason.” I say it a lot because I believe it’s true. There is a reason for everything God allows. If our life was one big cake walk, we would never grow. Think about how much more you pray and seek God when you’re going through something.
Although we don’t always understand why God allows something to happen, we have to trust that He is sovereign and His will is best. The thing we can place our hope in is God’s promise to us that all things — while they may not always be good — will work together for our good. And that’s good news!
